Welsh-made Corgi Chair Socks
Made in Wales since 1892, Corgi socks are some of the nicest socks we have ever owned. Made from 75-percent cotton and 25-percent nylon, these lightweight socks stretch nicely and breathe beautifully.
Earlier this year, we asked if Corgi could make a batch of custom socks that feature a Welsh stick chair, knit in their signature red and blue. They said yes. And so we are offering these socks one time as a special purchase – and at a special price.
The chair featured on the socks is from the cover of Chris Williams's book "Good Work: The Chairmaking Life of John Brown." The socks also have the toe and heel in the same red.
These are not your typical "fun socks" that you'll find at gift stores. Corgi socks are made in South Wales by a small team of dedicated employees who use a surprising amount of hand processes. (Read more here.)
We ordered a shocking number of socks to get a volume discount on these. And we offer them in four sizes, which should cover the entire population of men and women.
This is an outstanding price on world-class socks. Consider it a small gift of appreciation for you: Our chair-loving, book-reading, woodworking people.
Want to know what size to order? Check out this chart, which is in men's sizes; subtract 2 for US women's sizes (i.e. if you wear a women's size 9 shoe, you wear a men's size 7 shoe).
